Request a Consultation
Start the conversation.
Every consultation is free, confidential, and conducted directly with Joe — not a screener or paralegal. There is no obligation to retain the firm afterward.
What You Can Expect
From inquiry to conversation.
Reaching out to a family lawyer is intimidating. Here's exactly what happens after you submit, so there are no surprises.
i.
You hear back fast
Most inquiries receive a response within a few hours during business days, and always before end-of-day next business day at the latest.
ii.
A real conversation, not a screening
The first call is with Joe directly — typically 20–40 minutes — to understand your situation and outline the realistic options.
iii.
No pressure, no obligation
If we're the right fit, we'll talk through next steps and fees. If we're not, you'll leave with honest direction either way.
iv.
You decide on your time
There is no follow-up sales pressure. When and if you're ready to move forward, you reach back out. Not the other way around.
Strictly Confidential.
Every detail you share is protected by attorney-client confidentiality from the moment you submit, regardless of whether you ultimately retain the firm.

Common questions.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. There is no charge and no obligation for the initial consultation, regardless of how long it takes or whether you ultimately decide to retain the firm. The purpose of that first conversation is to give you honest direction — not to qualify you for a paid intake.
What should I have ready before I call or write?
Nothing required. A general sense of your situation, the names of any other parties involved, and a rough timeline of recent events is more than enough. If you've already been served papers or have an existing court order, having those handy is helpful — but never a prerequisite to reaching out.
Is what I share confidential, even before I retain you?
Yes. Communications with the firm are protected by attorney-client confidentiality from the moment you reach out, whether or not you ultimately decide to hire us. Your information will not be shared, sold, or used for any purpose other than responding to your inquiry.
What if my situation is urgent?
For genuine emergencies — an order of protection, a child being withheld, an imminent court deadline — call directly at (630) 384-0165 rather than using the form. After-hours, leave a voicemail noting the matter is urgent, and Joe will return the call as quickly as possible.
Do you take cases outside of DuPage County?
The firm regularly handles family law matters throughout DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, and Will counties, and accepts cases in surrounding jurisdictions on a case-by-case basis. If your matter is in another Illinois county, reach out and we'll let you know honestly whether we're the right fit.
If a form doesn't feel right, just pick up the phone.
Sometimes it's easier to talk than to type. We answer the phone ourselves. No menu, no hold queue.
